The fair was made up of several exciting components: Art Jakarta Gallery, a total of 70 galleries from Indonesia and other Asian countries participated in Art Jakarta 2019. Art Jakarta Spot presented seven special artworks in dedicated public areas of Art Jakarta. Art Jakarta X saw three collaborative projects between Art Jakarta and partners as well as collectors. Art Jakarta Talk was a platform for dialogue and discussion about the art world and Art Jakarta Scene showcasing artist collectives, projects, and institutions, including “Art_UNLTD”, a platform by BEKRAF for works by emerging Indonesian artists, all to be enjoyed by the public and for the further advancement of the Indonesian art market.

As a signature program, this year’s Art Jakarta Charity was presented by OPPO. ‘Renoscape’ at Art Jakarta Charity is the arena where unique carpets made by thirteen of Indonesia’s most prominent artists were auctioned. Proceeds from the auction are to be donated to the Jakarta Mitra Museum Foundation and Happy Hearts Indonesia. Last but not least, UOB Indonesia supports Art Jakarta Play, workshop sessions by Eko Nugroho Art Class, an educational program for children and teens to learn creative processes in fine arts.
