For decades, Aman has been synonymous with destinations that celebrate a profound sense of place. In Indonesia, two of its most iconic retreats are now entering a new chapter with the introduction of Aman Residences at Amanjiwo and Amankila.
Set within dramatically different yet equally captivating landscapes, these developments extend Aman’s philosophy of privacy, architectural harmony, and connection to nature beyond the traditional resort experience. From the cultural heartland of Central Java to Bali’s serene eastern coastline, the residences have been thoughtfully designed to reflect the character of their surroundings while maintaining the understated elegance for which Aman is known.

Scheduled for completion in 2027, the projects will further expand Aman’s residential presence in Indonesia, offering a limited number of private homes integrated within two of the country’s most celebrated destinations.
Aman Residences at Amankila

On Bali’s eastern coastline, Amankila is home to a collection of residences positioned on a secluded hillside overlooking the Lombok Strait and Mount Agung.
The Amankila Residences comprise a limited collection of eleven private villas, forming the brand’s first residential development in Indonesia at this destination. Each residence is designed as a series of interconnected pavilions, reflecting the architectural language of Amankila while integrating contemporary interpretations of Balinese form and materiality.

Residences are conceived to maximise privacy and landscape integration, with expansive outdoor terraces, infinity-edge swimming pools, and landscaped gardens positioned to capture uninterrupted ocean and mountain views. Covered walkways connect individual pavilions, supporting a fluid indoor-outdoor residential experience across the natural terrain.
Ownership includes integration into the Aman residential lifestyle, giving access to bespoke services and privileged access to the wider Amankila estate. Each home is woven into Aman’s global residential network, offering a continuity of ownership experience across the brand’s destinations worldwide.

Aman Residences at Amanjiwo

Set in Central Java’s cultural heartland, Amanjiwo overlooks the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Borobudur and is regarded as one of the region’s most exclusive residential addresses. The Aman Residences at Amanjiwo form a highly limited collection of just four private villas, positioned within the Menoreh Hills with elevated, uninterrupted views across the ancient landscape.
Designed as a series of standalone pavilions, the residences are anchored around a central landscape feature and integrate seamlessly with the surrounding terrain. The architectural concept draws from Amanjiwo’s original design language, with limestone structures and open-air spatial planning that emphasise privacy, scale, and connection to nature.

Each villa comprises a master bedroom pavilion, additional bedroom suites, a living and dining pavilion, and dedicated outdoor living and dining areas, all set within expansive private gardens and anchored by an 18-metre private swimming pool.
Homes range from 3,356 to 3,828 sqm, offered in three- and four-bedroom configurations, with the collection designed for full residential ownership and reflecting Aman’s signature approach to understated luxury and architectural harmony with place.
