Amazing Island Hopping Adventure

Even though I live in a tropical country, my desire to explore more unspoiled tropical islands is quite big thus I recently flew to Bangkok, Thailand and started my journey there. About 1 and 20-minute connecting flight took me to Krabi, which lies at the mouth of the Krabi River on the west coast of southern Thailand in the province bearing the same.

My first stop was to Phi Phi Leh and its fabulous Maya Bay. I was excited that I finally got the chance to see the famous site that was once used for the movie The Beach’ staring Leo DiCaprio. The water is crystal clear displaying wonderfully coloured coral reefs and tropical fish, so swimming and snorkelling are recommended.

Koh Mai Phai or Bamboo Island was my next stop. I thought it would be an island full of bamboo trees but in fact there is not a stick of bamboo to be found. Ringed by a lovely white sandy beach, a rather quiet and peaceful, Koh Mai Phai is clearly one of the most beautiful National Park islands in Phuket. Here your eyes will be pampered by the beautiful blue sky and azure water as far as you can see.

Moving on to my next destination was my long awaited trip to Koh Samui. I’ve heard so many rave reviews about the island, and this was just the perfect time to discover what Koh Samui has to offer that can be reached about 55-minute by plane.

Located in the Gulf of Thailand about 35 Km, Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket and has been increasingly popular amongst tropical resort island holidaymakers for its lovely beaches and range of luxury hotel choices. Its gorgeous natural beauty and easily accessible are also the reasons why this island is very popular amongst travellers. The iconic landmark here is the 12m-tall golden Big Buddha statue at Wat Phra Yai temple.

The resort that we chose is right in front of the beach, which gave me holiday moments that went beyond expectations. As my purpose here was to unwind so being a sun seeker and do some culinary tours were tremendously exciting. For delectable Thai food, either five star hotel or small shops on the street, you’ll be amazed how both can deliver delightful dishes to be savoured.

Feeling extremely rejuvenated and content, I must say this is one the most relaxed holiday time and felt blessed to have had the opportunity to enjoy the experiences, sights and exciting things to do.
