On April 22nd, 2017, the “Satyan Sita” Photo and Video Exhibition opened for public viewing. Inspired by the immense strength and energy of the people from Tejakula in the preservation of their tradition and culture in its pure, sacred form, a group of artists decided to create an art exhibition dedicated to the dance form which only survives in a few places in Bali. The exhibition documents this sacred art form, and consists of art, photographs and video capturing images of the people, their masks and their dance during religious ceremonies and dance performances.
