Cédric Grolet – one of the most globally-renowned pastry chefs, opened the doors to his first eponymous pâtisserie in Asia on 14 September 2023.
Cedric Grolet Singapore at COMO Orchard is Grolet’s fourth shop after his Paris (La Pâtisserie du Meurice par Cédric Grolet, Cédric Grolet Opera) and London (Cédric Grolet at The Berkeley) openings. ́ Voted best pastry chef in the world by Grand Tables du Monde and World’s 50 Best Restaurants, he is renowned for his trompel’oeil artistry. Grolet’s exquisitely modern creations are beloved by pastry fans worldwide and have garnered an astounding following of 8.2 million on Instagram alone.
Step into the twin universes of fruits and flowers, where every piece on display is a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Alongside a selection of pastries and sandwiches, Grolet has created a series of Singapore exclusives and a special tea menu inspired by the unique tropical fruit of Southeast Asia. The Lychee and Dragonfruit are crafted in his signature trompel’oeil style, whilst his take on the Mooncake showcases his impeccable detailing, and playful use of flavours and textures.
Housed on the first floor of COMO Orchard, Cédric Grolet Singapore sits next to COMO Group’s multi-label fashion boutique, Club21. The monochromatic interior designed by Paola Navone of OTTO Studio is filled with motifs of fruits and flowers embossed on the walls, a nod to the gorgeous optical illusions he creates. Floor-to-ceiling windows open the space to natural light, while the canopy of contemporary chrome leaves offers a touch of elegance.
Open for breakfast and afternoon tea from 8am to 6pm, guests can walk in to dine-in or takeaway, or make a reservation to dine-in via Sevenrooms. Grolet’s creations are also available for pre-order online with Click and Collect. Part of the integrated, immersive experience in the heart of Orchard Road, the opening of Cédric Grolet Singapore brings the vision of COMO Orchard’s COMO-curated life closer to fruition.
