Born 1976 at Bukitinggi, West Sumatra, Aji Mahareshi is a prominent professional photographer who has completed many successful commercial projects. But deep down, photography is not just a moneymaking tool; it’s a way of life. Capturing moments and framing them artistically for the world to see has been a passion of Aji Mahareshi from the beginning. For him, the most important aspect of photography is ‘feel’, and it is ‘feel’ that he catches with all his subjects.
Warm vibrancy radiates from all the photographs of Aji Mahareshi. Whether they be close-up expressions or candid moments, all have been taken with precise calculations and background compositions. Aji is also known for playing with unique angles, his out-of-the-box thinking captures different sides of his subjects often overlooked by others.
For the future Aji Mahareshi will continue to pursue his passion as a visual artist with photography and digital imaging skills to capture and immortalized important moments in both nature and human aspects of life. His next project however will be to explore exotic sites around Indonesia and capture them from different perspectives through his lenses.
