Akira Back is a Korean-born and American-raised chef who continues to redefine Asian cuisine to create unique dining experiences around the world. For over 24 years, Chef Back has impressed the culinary world with his bold interpretations of Asian fare that combines classic Japanese cuisine with other international flavors.

 

Throughout his career, Chef Akira Back has received numerous accolades and recognitions including “Rising Star” by Restaurant Hospitality (2008) and “Best Chef in Las Vegas” by Las Vegas Weekly (2008). Chef Back has also participated in some of the culinary world’s most prestigious events and had the distinct honor of hosting the prestigious James Beard House dinners for six years.
