The Yale Whiffenphoofs returned to Bali

The St. Regis Bali Resort and The Laguna Bali OrganizeD Annual Charity Night of Music and Cuisine in Support of UNICEF

The continuing 18-year partnership between UNICEF and Starwood Hotels and Resorts has raised over US$25 million for UNICEF through its Check Out for Children program.

The Yale Whiffenpoofs performed on Friday August 1st in the Balai Raya Ballroom at The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. On their 4th annual charity evening, the Yale Whiffenpoofs presented a customized arrangement of jazz standards, classic ballads and recent popular hits. After the unforgettable concert, a VIP buffet dinner was held at Banyubiru. The day following this concert the Yale Whiffenpoofs held another concert exclusively for guests during an elegant culinary journey at Boneka, the signature restaurant of The St. Regis Bali Resort. All returns from the Rp.100,000 ticket sales are to be donated to UNICEF.

Founded in 1909, the Whiffenpoofs continue Yale University’s 100-year tradition by selecting 14 of their most accomplished male singers to make up one of the world’s most widely revered musical groups. Bali is just one stop amongst the group’s 200 annual concerts held at a wide range of venues around the world that recently included a performance at The White House for President Obama and a concert at Broadway’s Lincoln Centre to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Foundation for the of raising awareness and funds to fight paediatric AIDS.
