UBUD VILLAGE JAZZ FESTIVAL 2017 LIVES UP TO ITS REPUTATION FOR EXCELLENCE YET AGAIN

The 2017 Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) held in the ARMA Museum Garden over the two days of the 11th and 12th of August once again reinforced its status not only as Bali’s foremost jazz festival but also as one of the best in South-East Asia, thanks to a stellar line-up of musicians from around the globe. The superb program included four-time GRAMMY® nominated pianist/composer, Gerald Clayton, along with Joe Sanders and Gregory Hutchinson, Hamburg trumpeter Benny Brown, Austrian dynamic duo B. Good Vogel, Australian Jazz units and the Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy Big Band from Dortmund, Germany comprising of 22 musicians, including two remarkable singers Dian Pratiwi and Sithara Schimaniak. Indonesia’s very own jazz maestros also had their moments to shine, from Balawan, Koko Harsoe and Tesla Manaf, to Bali’s Yuri Mahatma and Astrid Sulaiman. The organisers would like to thank the food and beverage outlets and other vendors for delivering top-notch quality services throughout the event. For more info www.ubudvillagejazzfestival.com.
