FAIRMONT BANGKOK SUKHUMVIT OPENS AS FAIRMONT’S FIRST HOTEL IN THAILAND

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has officially arrived in Thailand with the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the luxury hotel brand’s first property in the country.
Located in the heart of Sukhumvit, the new hotel is designed as a place to stay, dine, relax and celebrate. It offers 416 guestrooms and 58 suites, combining contemporary comfort with design inspired by Thailand’s culture and natural beauty

The hotel describes its concept as a “blooming stage” for celebration, with flowers and botanical elements appearing throughout the property. Designed by Thai architectural and interior design practice PIA, the interiors take inspiration from Thailand’s rich floral heritage while giving it a modern interpretation.
One of the first features guests will notice is the spectacular chandelier in the lobby, inspired by the golden ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower. Made with 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls, it creates a striking centrepiece. Floral details also appear in artworks, sculptures, guestrooms and public spaces, bringing the overall concept together in a subtle and elegant way.
Food and drink are an important part of the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit experience, with seven dining and entertainment venues set to open throughout 2026. Harper’s offers a modern take on the North American-French brasserie, bringing together Parisian elegance and New York style in a relaxed all-day setting. AELA Social Bar begins the day as an elegant lounge before becoming a cocktail destination in the evening. For a more casual experience, CAYA Pool Club takes inspiration from Bangkok’s famous street food and night markets. Guests can enjoy contemporary Thai dishes and creative cocktails in a relaxed poolside setting.

More venues are also on the way. Wiggle Room, scheduled to open in mid-September 2026, will bring together dinner and live entertainment beneath the hotel. With a private entrance on Sukhumvit Soi 18, the supper club will combine live music, performances, cocktails and food around a dedicated stage, taking inspiration from classic cabaret while adding the energy of modern Bangkok.
The hotel’s dining collection will expand again in December 2026 across levels 32 and 33, with the rooftop located on level 33. Two new concepts will join the line-up: one combining Italian and Japanese influences, and another focusing on contemporary Thai cuisine. Set high above the city, the venues will offer sweeping views of Bangkok’s skyline.
Wellness is another key part of the hotel experience. Fairmont’s “Wellness Without Walls” approach is based on a simple idea: wellbeing should be part of the entire stay rather than something guests experience only when visiting the spa. The Fairmont Spa takes inspiration from jasmine, a flower associated with Thai hospitality and purity. Treatments focus on relaxation and restoration, giving guests a peaceful break from the energy of Bangkok.
For those who prefer to stay active, Fairmont Studio offers spaces for yoga, cardio and strength training. Fairmont Fit also helps guests maintain their usual fitness and wellness routines while travelling.

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit has also been designed as a major destination for meetings, weddings and celebrations. The property offers more than 2,000 square metres of flexible event space across three floors.
At the centre is the Signature Grand Ballroom, featuring an impressive 12-metre-high ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt. A second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall and other flexible spaces can accommodate everything from business meetings and international conferences to weddings, private parties and product launches.

Families are also well catered for, with family-friendly accommodation and a dedicated Kids Club offering experiences for younger guests. Travellers bringing their pets can also stay at the hotel, with four-legged companions weighing up to 30 kilograms welcome and pet-friendly amenities available.
Guests looking for greater privacy and personalised service can choose Fairmont Gold, the brand’s “hotel within a hotel” experience. It includes a dedicated reception for check-in and check-out, access to an exclusive lounge with food and drinks throughout the day, and a dedicated concierge team.
Sustainability has also been considered in the hotel’s design. Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit has been developed to LEED Gold standards and includes water recycling, smart energy systems, EV charging, improved indoor air quality and a heat-reducing façade. Its use of biophilic design also brings elements of nature into the property, complementing the floral inspiration seen throughout the interiors.
With its Thai-inspired design, diverse dining options, wellness experiences and extensive spaces for celebrations, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit arrives as more than simply another luxury hotel. Its central Sukhumvit location gives travellers a convenient base for discovering Bangkok while offering plenty of reasons to stay in. Guests can spend the day dining, relaxing by the pool or enjoying the spa before moving into cocktails, dinner and entertainment as evening arrives.
As Fairmont’s first hotel in Thailand, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit introduces a new luxury address to the capital—one shaped by the energy of Bangkok, the warmth of Thai hospitality and a desire to bring people together.
