A CULINARY CELEBRATION INSPIRED BY 125 YEARS OF HISTORY

As part of its “125 Years of a Legend” celebrations, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is showcasing a series of exclusive dining and cocktail experiences across its renowned restaurants and bars, honoring the hotel’s rich gastronomic heritage while embracing the future.

At Le Beaulieu, believed to be the oldest continually operating restaurant in Vietnam and operating in its current space since 1901, guests can enjoy a special three-course set menu featuring century-old classics including Lobster Bisque and Crêpe Suzette with guéridon service. The recipes date back to the restaurant’s early days and have been passed down through generations of chefs. 

Spice Garden marks the anniversary with its Golden Era Pho, simmering a rich pho broth for 125 hours using a recipe rooted in the culinary traditions that flourished at the hotel in the 1920s. The dish is served with Wagyu beef, gold leaf short rib and finished with a dramatic tableside pouring, celebrating what the hotel describes as a living piece of Hanoi’s culinary history

Poolside Bamboo Bar introduces its “Carnet de Voyage” cocktail collection, inspired by the 1920s journey across Indochina and beyond imagined for the Metropole’s co-founder and first director, André Ducamp. The cocktails blend exotic flavors with the charm of a bygone era.

At Le Club Bar, guests can discover signature cocktails inspired by cultural icons and former hotel guests Charlie Chaplin, Graham Greene and André Ducamp. The anniversary menu also features “The Last Telegram”, the newest addition to its Legendary Cocktail Collection, alongside the “1901” Burger, described as a bold yet elegant creation combining French refinement with premium ingredients

Meanwhile, angelina has unveiled its “Metropole Liquid Chapters” cocktail menu, commemorating historic milestones in the hotel’s story. Signature drinks include “1901”, celebrating the hotel’s golden beginning, “1968”, inspired by the wartime bunker beneath the property, and “2026”, highlighting a new era of Hanoi by night.
