Celebrating 125 years of timeless elegance, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has unveiled its newly refurbished Opera Wing, marking a new chapter in the historic hotel’s evolution. Completed in late September 2026, the transformation preserves the wing’s graceful neo-classical character while introducing a brighter, warmer and more contemporary residential feel for today’s travellers. The refurbishment breathes new life into the Opera Wing’s corridors, lift landings and accommodation, encompassing its Premium Rooms, Grand Premium Rooms and Prestige Suites.
Grand Premium
While preserving authentic timber finishes and the wing’s neo-classical character, the transformation introduces lighter colour palettes, refined fabrics, renewed furnishings and enhanced in-room comfort. New carpets, tailored curtains and thoughtful details, including pearlescent mosaic bathroom finishes, create a calm, inviting atmosphere defined by understated luxury.
Premium Rooms feature a soothing palette of blue-green, grey and white, complemented by refurbished wood furnishings, polished floors and reupholstered lounge armchairs. Bathrooms combine pearlescent mosaics with marble, luxury fittings and walk-in showers with a bench.
Premium Room – Garden View
Grand Premium Rooms offer a brighter interpretation of neo-classical elegance, with silver-and-adobe tones, hand-tufted carpets, refined curtains and polished wood floors. Meanwhile, Prestige Suites introduce renewed warmth and comfort through refined wood furnishings, a new sofa and bathrooms featuring pearlescent mosaic vanities and polished marble surfaces.
The transformation extends into the corridors and lift landings, where refreshed carpets, wallpaper and furnishings create a contemporary welcome while maintaining the wing’s distinctive character. On the Club Floors, mint-green doors provide a subtle contrast against white corridors. Interior design was led by David Grace International, with project management by PRIME.
